Vancil Performing Arts Center is pleased to offer Dance Troupes and Companies, for dancers wishing to participate in competitions and take their dancing skills to the next level. A list of current Troupes and Companies may be found below.

Dance Troupe & Companies
The Bay City Dance Troupe
A dance troupe to bring the excitement of dance to local community events. In 1997, the Troupe performed on Disney's "The Big Red Boat." In 2001 they performed on Carnival Cruise Line's "Celebration." They have also performed at Six Flags in St. Louis. Dancer's have danced at the Orange Bowl Halftime Show in Florida, Indy 500 parade and opening ceremonies, and also in the 75th Pearl Harbor Parade in Hawaii. In 2002, 2005, 2008, 2011 2014 and 2017, the troupe performed in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. In 2018 dancers performed at the CampingWorld Bowl in Orlando Florida, along with a studio choreographed routine at Universal Studios. November of 2019, many dancers traved to Chicago and performed in the "Danc'n on the Magnificent Mile" Parade. Most recently, dancers traveled to Nashville to perform on the Grand Ole Opry Stage.

The Bay City Petite Troupe
A dance troupe with the purpose to expose younger dancers to community performance opportunities. They travel with the Bay City Dance Troupe during their annual Christmas tour, and put on a miniature production at our annual recital. The Petite Troupe has also traveled with us on dance trips when they are at the proper eligibility age.

VPAC Company
The definition of Company is: “a troupe of dramatic or musical performers” AND “the state of friendly companionship; fellowship.” We created the VPAC Company to reflect Vancil Performing Arts Center’s core values and beliefs which are that we are a family of not only dancers, but performers that are professional, competitive, and positive athletes. This mission statement is the value that coaches model in their classroom and is the responsibility of dancers to uphold.

V1-V4 Companies
These groups are for students who are ready and willing to take on an additional challenge aside from the VPAC Company. Dancers are evaulated by Company Coaches for proper placement, and students are also eligible to take on solos, duets, trios, and optional small groups.

Rising Star Competition Team
We offer this group as a novice team for younger dancers who are interested in competing. This allows them to enter into the competitive world in a nuturing environment that moves at a slower pace. It serves as a stepping stone to the VPAC Company.
